Restaurant Delivery Trends for 2021
We are going to be looking at online ordering and talk about the change in changes in the online ordering and delivery space and how Restaurants will work to increase profitability in a very dynamic space.
What has happened in the last 12 months? We are going to look at what we have seen happening because there were some big moves throughout the year and we want to set you up with on how it is going to play out for 2021.
We saw a lot of people get their fingers burned really badly in the online ordering space, we are talking about restaurants here, restaurants that went out of business really quite quickly.
Around the world, many restaurants were placed in lockdown and the only food that they can turn out was either for pick up or delivery. We have a global crisis that is fundamentally designed for companies like Uber Eats, Deliveroo, and Just Eats and you could have thought that these online aggregators will have a better year, surprisingly it’s not quite the case
But in March we saw a big rush for restaurants to look at moving into delivery, many restaurants had not been doing delivery or have not been using delivery platforms but with the recent, crisis, that’s the only way they can survive. But apart from that, they can do different things like selling the produce, recipe kits, and pre-packed meals but overall, everyone was struggling to survive and opted to do delivery.
