Al Desko Dining – Our guide for Restaurants.
In this week’s episode we look into the newest trend in dining which is Al Desko Dining. It’s a cute wordplay of Al Fresco dining but it basically means dining at your desk. While most of the restaurant owners see its negative impact on profitability, you can respond to this trend as seeing it as an opportunity.
Should you worry about Al Desko? We have a 7 tip guide on how to crack into it.
If your restaurant is located in a commercial area or there are high rise buildings around, you have a massive opportunity to serve those employees working in corporate offices.
We recently talked about Restaurant Trends for 2020. One of those trends is Vegan. Your customers are not just grabbing a quick meal on the go but they can also get their vegan fix.
What is it that you do great in your restaurant that you can incorporate to Al Desko? Do not do crazy things that your kitchen can not manage.
4.Delivery and Pick Up
Consider your location and customers in determining whether to offer delivery. Should you decide to have your own delivery service, then you have full control over a customer’s experience rather than getting a third party service.
The concept of a lunchbox is highly appealing and will give you a competitive edge on how to market your restaurant. Always think of how you want your food to end up in someone’s desk.
6. To Drive More Revenue
Having a database of the people who ordered from you can be an effective way to drive more revenue. You can offer coupons and group orders. These people can serve as evangelists for your business.
If you have covered offering Al Desko meals well, then bringing people into the restaurant should come close. Diners are also looking for a place where they can talk comfortably and fast.
